Privacy Policy

Costrify (“Costrify”, “we”, “us”) provides a restaurant finance and delivery-profitability dashboard at costrify.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Costrify you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account data — your name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash), or your Google account if you sign in with Google.
Business data you enter — restaurant details, menu items, costs, sales, delivery-platform fees, payouts and any files you upload.
Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer ID; we never see or store your full card number.
Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

To provide the dashboard, calculations, alerts and reports you ask for.
To process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
To power optional AI features (the AI CFO and receipt reading).
To secure the service, prevent abuse, and provide support.

3. AI processing

When you use the AI CFO or upload a document for reading, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your answer. It is not used to train their models. You can use Costrify without these optional features.

4. Service providers we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us run Costrify, under their own security and privacy terms:

Stripe — payments and subscriptions.
Anthropic — optional AI features.
Our hosting provider — to run the application and database.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your business data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your account, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
